There’s this Muhammad Ali quote, “I hated every minute of training, but I said, ‘Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.’ “
I’m not sporty and I personally do not look up to Muhammad Ali as a sporting hero or anything, but I find this quote really inspiring. You have to work for things you want, be they trivial or life changing, whether it be a college place, a new dress or somebody special. It seems hard at the time and you might question if it’s worth continuing, but in my experience, the juice is worth the squeeze.
Easy. Jedward are my guilty pleasure. The terrible twins never cease to entertain me with their antics. You have to admire their consistency, returning week after week to The X Factor despite the tirade of abuse they received from judges, audience and the media alike.
I watched their tv programme during the week and I literally laughed my ass off. They are cringe worthy to watch. Car crash telly at it’s finest.
Day 01 - Guilty pleasure Day 02 - Something that inspires you Day 03 - Something you would have with you on a desert island and why Day 04 - What you imagine paradise to be like Day 05 - A thank you letter to someone who has changed your life Day 06 - Earliest thing you can remember Day 07 - Favorite cover of your favorite song Day 08 - Someone you think would make a good president Day 09 - Five things you want to see change Day 10 - A dream you had this past week described in detail
Due to my incredibly short attention span, expect me to get bored with this pretty quickly. Though maybe I’ll surprise even myself.
“Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear. The brave may not live forever, but the cautious do not live at all. From now on you’ll be traveling the road between who you think you are and who you can be. The key is to allow yourself to make the journey.”—Edward Renaldi (Mia’s father), The Princess Diaries (via quote-book)
“When I say, “I love you”, it’s not because I want you or because I can’t have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I’ve seen your kindness and strength. I’ve seen the best and worst of you. And I understand with perfect clarity exactly what and who you are.”—Joss Whedon | Submitted by: bornonthe17th (via quote-book)
